The Jubilee 10th Rally Show Santa Domenica, this year brought together a large number of competitors from seven European countries.
The winners of the 10th RSSD are competitors from Hungary, Péter Rang and Viktor Bán – drivers of the Škoda Fabia R5. Second place went to Austrian drivers of Ford Fiesta R5 MK II, Beppo Harrach and Dominik Jahn, and third place – Hungarians, Sándor Ollé-Sasa and Rebekah Ollé in Škoda Fabia R5.
“It was phenomenal! At the start, we had great drivers from all over Europe, 91 competitors. Even as nice weather has served to make it easier for us to run an organization led by the safe hand of the Clerk of the course, Mr Daut Damaria in front of AK Delta Timing “Zagreb”, and to facilitate the teams. The stage was well soaked with heavy rain that had been falling before. So it was an attraction for everyone – drivers and spectators alike! “- said after the prize-giving ceremony, the President of the organizing committee, Daniel Vojvodić.
This is the largest gravel rally show in Central Europe, bringing together the big names of motorsport, but also young drivers. There was also a huge number of fans along the special stages, which just goes to show that RSSD has turned into one of the leading competitions for all rally lovers, speed and octane.
“We are very pleased that there was a lot of competitors and spectators. This is the jubilee year of the Rally Show and it was truly beautiful. You could see a lot – from passionate car enthusiasts all the way to motorsport exhibitionists, ”said Dario Zurovec, Mayor of Sveta Nedelja.
Again this year, the big world names did not bypass the RSSD. Among them are the 2008 World Champion Andreas Aigner, with co-driver Ilka Minor, Péter Ranga (Fabia R5), 2017 RRSD winner and his co-driver Adam Fodor, Beppo Harrach (Fiesta R5 MKII), four-time Santa Domenica Rally Show winner and Dominik Jahn. Harrach’s new car had its world premiere right at this rally show!
The Santa Domenica Rally Show lasted for three days. It started with a big RRSD Party in Savršćak. The official part was the day after, on Saturday, November 23rd, when the official training-Shakedown on the Savršćak track near Samobor and the spectacular Ceremonial ceremony in Sveta Nedelja was held.
The main part of the competition was held on Sunday 24 November, when four Special Stages were held.
