Ivica Kostelić will call the notes for Niko Pulić! The four-time Olympic medalist and triple European motorsport champion are joining forces at the 16th Rally Show Santa Domenica, powered by Subaru. From 20 to 22 November, Sveta Nedelja and Savršćak near Samobor will welcome big sporting names, night stages, flame effects and spectacular fireworks. And perhaps another helping of snow.
Niko Pulić behind the wheel, Ivica Kostelić in the navigator’s seat. The overall Alpine Ski World Cup winner and four-time Olympic silver medallist takes on a different challenge alongside one of Croatia’s most decorated racing drivers.
Fans will see how the two sporting legends work together in a rally car at an event that drew a record 167 crews from more than ten countries last year. Their partnership gives Santa Domenica’s message new meaning: More than rally love.
Santa Domenica turns up the heat this November.
Last year, RSSD woke up under a blanket of snow, delivering scenes that crews and fans are still talking about. What this November’s weather holds remains to be seen, but the programme is set for three days of rally action in front of thousands of spectators.
The weekend opens with the crew presentation and ceremonial start in the centre of Sveta Nedelja. Saturday’s Savršćak by Night brings flame effects and fireworks to the stages, before Savršćak Arena takes centre stage on Sunday. Seven special stages covering 36.05 competitive kilometres are on the schedule, alongside the official shakedown.
“Having 167 crews last year was a huge vote of confidence in our whole team. When people travel from more than ten countries to compete here, we know how much this weekend means to them, and we want to deliver. Across all fifteen editions so far, no two stages have been identical. We put together something different every year, and this time the Arena will run entirely as a conventional special stage, without the loop section. Above all, we’re looking forward to welcoming the crews and fans back to RSSD. They’re the reason we do all this,” says Daniel Vojvodić, Chairman of the Rally Show Santa Domenica Organising Committee.
RSSD as a proving ground for rally talent.
Santa Domenica has been giving young drivers a chance to show their pace for years. Matteo Bernini made his rally debut here at just 14. He is now a double Croatian champion and is planning World Rally Championship outings in 2027. Giovanni Trentin made his Rally2 debut at RSSD in 2023 at 16, finished second overall straight away, and later progressed to WRC2.
Equally strong stories are closer to home. RSSD gave Mislav Mikulec his first rally start in 2012, aged just 16, with his brother Marko alongside him on the notes. Last year, they were the highest-placed Croatian crew. Martin and Dora Ravenščak also gained experience at RSSD before representing Croatia in the ERC3 category of the European Rally Championship during 2024 and 2025.
For young crews, RSSD offers a chance to measure themselves against established champions and put their names in front of fans and the media. For spectators, it is a chance to spot drivers they could soon follow on the European and world stages.
Croatian crews have plenty to offer, particularly those competing on home ground from Sveta Nedelja and Samobor. The Mikulec brothers finished eighth overall last year, with Ivan Kodrić and Tomislav Pazman taking tenth. Crews led by Sveta Nedelja drivers Dario Merlić, Daniel Vojvodić and Nenad Lončarić also finished inside the top 25, while Viliam Prodan’s crew further underlined the strength of the Croatian field.
The organisers hope for the strongest Croatian challenge yet against international competition. That story also includes the people running AKK Sveta Nedelja. Nenad Lončarić, Boris Beraković, Daniel and Tajana Vojvodić Pinky have spent years combining event organisation with competing themselves. Daniel Vojvodić, runner-up in the 2026 Croatian Championship, and his navigator, Filip Puzić, the 2026 Croatian Champion among co-drivers, compete together as the Pile i Vile Rally Team. Nenad Lončarić and Tajana Vojvodić Pinky fly the flag on home soil for RSSD’s main sponsor Subaru in their familiar Impreza.
A stage to make your mark.
Alongside professional drivers and emerging talent, RSSD attracts familiar faces from other sports and public life. Miroslav Zrnčević and Nika Fleiss have competed here. Meanwhile, former Croatian international basketball player Mario Kasun and journalist Andrija Jarak have both tried the navigator’s seat, with Jarak competing alongside Niko Pulić. This year, Ivica Kostelić joins Pulić, continuing the tradition of sporting names finding a fresh challenge at RSSD.
For crews, it is a chance to show their pace against serious opposition, win over the fans and catch the media’s attention. Spectators can see sporting legends, modern rally machinery, historic cars and emerging talent at the same event. A strong Croatian and international line-up is expected again this year, with the entry list set to reveal more.
This year’s RSSD promotion has included numerous regional rallies, as well as rounds of the European and World Rally Championships. Cooperation with Rally delle Luminarie in Scorrano, Italy, has also brought together organisers and communities united by a love of motorsport.
“The best moment comes when, after months of preparation, the crews start arriving, and we see the crowds back out on the stages. Some have been coming for years, while others are discovering us for the first time, and we want everyone to feel welcome. Behind that welcome, and the whole weekend, are our club members, volunteers, marshals, officials, partners, and local hosts. A lot of the work happens out of sight, but when people head home happy and say, ‘See you next year,’ we know why we put it all in,” says Tajana Vojvodić Pinky, President of AKK Sveta Nedelja.
