Only 3 days separate us to the opening stage of 2017 edition of Rally Show Santa Domenica. Entries are now closed. The official entry list with 135 cars will have its highlight 3WRC cars and 11 R5 cars.
Once again Rally Santa Domenica (Sveta Nedelja and Savršćak) can use its success in past years. It has become an internationally known and established season finish on attractive gravel roads. There is just one special stage but it’s run in both direction. Together with central service area, the whole event is as compact as it can be.
We can proudly announce 135 entries for the 8th Rally Show Santa Domenica. This year the variety of car will be extreme. Gerald Rigler will drive Ford Fiesta RS WRC, but the main favorites for the overall victory will come from the R5 cars category. Peter Ranga and Andreas Aigner (both with Škoda Fabia R5) have the most experience of driving on the top level. We should not underestimate current Mitropa Cup winner Krisztian Hideg (Ford Fiesta R5) nor Antal Kovacs (Ford Fiesta R5).
This is impressive. First 11 cars on the start will be WRC or R5 cars. Number 12 goes to fast Slovenian driver Aljoša Novak (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X). He has a lot of experience with different gravel rallies in Italy and he can surprise also the R5 cars. And there are cars like Mitsubishi, Subaru, Toyota and similar 4WD cars. Spectators will love the passion and commitment from Hungarian drivers with Lada and also other drivers with cars in the smallest category. Only in Sprint class, there are 30 cars and altogether there will be almost 100 cars without 4WD.
With such a competitive entry list and a spectacular road, we can once again expect a true rally gravel show.
