Only a safe rally is a good rally!

Dear and appreciated rally fans,
For most of you rally is certainly the queen of motorsports, and certainly the most difficult, demanding, complex, but also the most dangerous discipline. Rally is a great sport, but it can easily become dangerous because accidents are unpredictable. With all its attractiveness and beauty it can very easily endanger all those who do not adhere to the safety warnings, that is, do not take enough care of their own safety. So be careful and always expect the unexpected. For us, who are involved in organizing this great project, the safety of all participants – competitors and their teams, spectators, photo and video representatives – is the highest priority. Only a safe rally is a good rally, and for that reason, we have set the highest possible safety standards in the preparation of Special stages, as well as our safety considerations. The changes we made to the concept of the rally last year are the result of a desire for even greater security. They provided access to anyone interested to go to the Service park, despite running across the stage itself. This proved to be a good move and it was certainly a significant element that last year’s competition took place without the slightest problem or incident. The most important thing is to always stay within the marked and safe zones during the competition, they are valid for everyone (spectators and media representatives), and follow the instructions of the marshals, safety guards and other officials of the course. Unfortunately, accidents involving spectators, but increasingly photo and video representatives are our bitter reality and a great threat to the reputation of the rally. This is precisely why I emphasize the message of the FIA ​: “We need you to promote our sport, but not at all costs, and no photoshoot is worth your life.” Aware of the need to provide a photo and video representatives with the best possible conditions for their activity, this year they will be able to do so in even more special photo zones, reserved only for them. I believe that the Santa Domenica Rally Show is one of the brightest jewels on the crown of the Croatian motorsport, which will again this year close the racing season of the Croatian Auto and Karting Association.

Dear competitors and spectators,
it is an honour to welcome you on behalf of the team that has been working on this year’s edition since the last car passed through the finish line on the 9th RSSD! For the tenth year in a row, I’ve been working on this event with tireless people who, like you, have octane in their blood. I do not hide my pride in knowing that more and more competitors, spectators and media representatives visit us every year. I feel we are growing and we are not giving up. I am delighted with the increasing number of top drivers and their teams, and especially the fact that we are succeeding in our mission – popularizing motorsports and educating young drivers. Many young riders are choosing RSSD as their entry into the rally world – the queen of motorsport. I thank all of you who recognize the importance of this event and help us in its development and realization year after year.
