He will have to do an almost 3000 kilometer trip to Rally Santa Domenica. We kindly welcome Mattias Ledin, one of the fastest Swedish drivers in R2 class.
Sweden is one of the homelands of rallying. The Scandinavians have a half of century tradition in timed competitions on closed gravel roads and they also traditionally host one of the most specific and attractive events for World Rally Championship. This is also a great background for young rally drivers. They have a lot of frozen lakes, empty gravel roads to drive on. Controlling the car on gravel is almost something natural for them.
Mattias Ledin is today one the fastest Swedish rally drivers in R2 class. He drives a Peugeot 208 R2 and the 28-years old driver just love to win on gravel. This season he already drove 20 rallies in different Swedish national championships. He has great mileage under his belt and a lot of experience how to drive his little Peugeot really fast. Last year he also started at European Rally Championship in Estonia. He finished fourth in a very competitive 2WD class.
His co-driver at Rally Santa Domenica will be Valkyria Edlund. Even though she is not Mattias regular co-driver, they will be main candidates to take the 2WD victory at our gravel show.
